Though ironically i pick the doctrine not because of the tank but bc sometimes i need guards + heavy mortar.

And the problem with panthers is they just speed away when in trouble and then the t34-85 just cant kill it. Usually, I just play some meme builds or get an IS-2 because big tanks make me wet.

And I used it quite often but I'm not a fan of the doctrines it's in. And if 2 T-34-85's couldn't kill a panther with mark target, you have really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rng there. That way you can remove the moving accuracy penalty but still retain the speed. How much have you used the t-34-85? You can still move a lot but you should always press S (or whatever hotkey it is for you) to stop before each shot and move afterwards. Honestly not seeing much reason to no just stick with T-34-75 + SU-85 instead from my experience, those tanks are at least good at their job. having to sit still whilst shooting really hinders that. The t-34-85 is a more aggresive P4, used to overwhelm enemies and take out axis armor by flanking and or outnumbering. However at least for me that just doesnt work with the playstyle of the tank. You can say "well just dont move and shoot". Hell it often even struggles aganst p4s.Īnd its moving accuracy definetly is terrible. Im not expecting it to beat a panther, however it often barely scratches them: even when im using 2 of them or 1 and mark target they fail to kill one from the front. It won't 1v1 a panther (it has a chance to, though) but it's not meant to counter them, just like panzer 4's aren't meant to 1v1 SU-85's or KV-1s. T-34-85 is great against P4's and infantry and hits pretty consistently but it has poor moving accuracy (like all tanks except USF). Originally posted by Farlon:Stop firing on the move.
